Solar Powered Cars Are Here — But Can They Go Mainstream?

Three companies, Sono Motors, Aptera Motors and Lightyear are all developing solar electric vehicles that are set to hit the European and U.S. markets over the next few years. While these cars have regular, lithium-based batteries that can be charged using electricity from the grid, they also contain integrated solar panels which can provide an additional 15-45 miles of range on a sunny day. 

As the technology develops, many see the potential for solar electric vehicles to gain wider adoption as EV manufacturers and consumers alike seek greater efficiency and range alongside a decreased dependence on the grid.

Lo que vez en negro en el techo, tapa del motor y tapa de maletera son paneles solares de alta densidad que te permiten recorrer 50km(30 millas), en la practica suficiente para el recorrido diario usando energia solar para mover el auto.

Si necesitas hacer viajes mas largos, el auto te permite recorrer mas de 500km(+300 millas) por la cargada de la bateria.
En el uso diario el auto no necesita cargarse, lo mas probable que casi nunca lo tengas que cargar salvo los momentos que necesites hacer viajes largos.

Acaba de entrar al Mercado de USA, buscando inversionistas para su planta de produccion en norteamerica.
