Camion de la Basura 100% Electrico - BYD Wayne HammerPak Electric Garbage Truck

In the California Bay Area city of Palo Alto, one of the first all electric garbage trucks is being used. Green Waste of Palo Alto is one of the first companies to purchase an electric garbage truck and I made a trip out to the Bay Area to take a look at it.

Overall, this truck is very cool. This is an BYD All-Electric chassis with a Curbtender HammerPak body. This is a super cool truck to see and it is super quiet. You almost loose it in the streets when it turns down a different block. It is really neat to see battery powered garbage trucks hitting the street and will be interesting to see how many more arrive over the next few years.
