Perú Construction - Refinery Talara - Piura

The construction of the new PETROPERU Talara Refinery, the most important energy project in the country, is progressing at a good pace, which to date stands at 45%, a percentage higher than that forecast for this period (43.9%). It is estimated to close 2016 with an advance of more than 50%.

As part of the work being carried out, there is the installation of the equipment that will be part of the modern process units, which will reduce the levels of sulfur in fuels such as diesel, gasolines and LPG, to a maximum content of 50 Parts per million sulfur, helping to improve air quality in the country.

In the construction of the New Talara Refinery, around 3,480 people work today, 89% of unskilled labor and 37% of qualified workforce staffed by Talara. It should be noted that the percentage for unskilled labor exceeds that established in the Environmental Impact Study of the Talara-PMRT Refinery Modernization Project (minimum 70%).
